Following pioneering projects such as the transport control system for the automated warehouse at binderholz, the forklift guidance system for Finsa in Spain, and the manufacturing execution systems for sawmill and CLT plants at Mayr-Melnhof Holz, the next major success is now following: the Pfeifer Group is also relying on ABF’s expertise in the long term.
The 5 Pölkky Oy plants of the Pfeifer Group in Finland will in future be equipped with an innovative forklift control and warehouse management system from ABF and connected to SAP EWM.
Particularly pleasing: ABF has also been commissioned at short notice with the introduction of an MES for the drying chambers in the sawmill process.
Both solutions will be executed with the new LumenUI technology of the ABF OneBase® Application Framework and are scheduled to go into operation by mid-2026.
This decision once again demonstrates that ABF is in demand as a full-service supplier among the major players in the European wood industry – from intralogistics to digital production control.
