From goods receipt to the finished goods warehouse

In manufacturing companies, our solutions ensure that raw materials and components are processed and supplied efficiently in order to produce high-quality products. In addition to controlling the production process, the material flow is a crucial aspect.

Incoming goods

The delivered materials are checked, registered and stored. This step is extremely important, as the quality of incoming materials can affect the entire production process. Proper documentation in the manufacturing execution system (MES) is essential.

Supply warehouse

After goods receipt, the materials are transferred to the supply warehouse, where they are temporarily stored as required. The supply warehouse serves as a buffer zone between goods receipt and the subsequent production stages. Here, the materials are organized by the warehouse management system (WMS) and prepared for the next step.

Pre-processing

The MES controls the pre-processing steps. This can include cutting materials to size, mixing substances or other preparatory measures such as material heating. Pre-processing is crucial for a smooth production process and high product quality.

Production

The MES is responsible for planning and monitoring the entire production process. It plans the use of resources such as machines, manpower and materials to ensure efficient production. The production control system ensures that all steps in the production process are coordinated and that any bottlenecks are identified and rectified in good time.

Itermediate storage

The intermediate warehouse is used to control the flow of materials and avoid bottlenecks in production. Quality checks can also be carried out here to ensure that only flawless parts are processed further. In coordination with the production control system, the warehouse management system provides the materials for further processing.

Post-processing

Post-processing is an important step in the production process in which the machined parts are further refined or assembled. This can include the painting of surfaces, the joining of components or other final measures such as tempering processes. The MES ensures that the products meet the desired quality standards and are prepared for dispatch.

Finished goods warehouse

The finished goods warehouse is the end point of the material flow, where the finished products are stored before they are ready for dispatch. Efficient warehouse management and transport optimization is crucial in order to find finished goods quickly and ensure fast delivery to customers.

Quality management

Quality management monitors and controls the quality of the products throughout the entire manufacturing process. Automatic machine data, production feedback and regular inspections ensure that the products meet the specified quality standards and satisfy customer requirements.

Dispatch control

Finally, the produced goods are dispatched to the customer. The efficient handling of loading onto rail or truck is of great importance. The transport control system supports the pre-picking of goods, the efficient transportation of materials and the documentation of load securing.
