As a system provider, ABF GmbH supplies a complete package of software products from OneBase®WORLD, individual software development, project management and commissioning for the ultra-modern cross laminated timber plant at LOC Holz.
The following functions were provided by ABF for the cross laminated timber panel production of LOC timber:
The cross-cut and sorting system produces quality-sorted packs which, like the lamella packs, are stored at the long finger joint using stacker orders from the ABF system.
Before these packs are fed to the production line, the production batch / press fillings are rearranged to optimize the production sequence in order to minimize set-up processes. The previously stored packs are optimized and requested accordingly and transferred to the two finger joints to form the respective longitudinal and cross layers.
The layers are layered to form the press cake and pressed into a panel in the high-frequency press.
The following functions were implemented for this purpose:
The raw panel is finalized on the CNC machine during the panel machining process, known as joinery. The MES supports the process execution with the following functions:
The processing sequence is defined in an operator dialog with processing information and status (e.g. turning, blocking, rejects).
The raw panels waiting to be processed are displayed in the warehouse so that they can be transported to the joinery machine by crane.
After processing, labelling is initiated and the warehouse booking of the panel and components is reported to the ERP system.
The process statuses of the various production areas are visualized for the operator throughout the entire production process.
Production-specific evaluations are available for plant operators and shift supervisors. Transparency and traceability thus contribute to increased quality and productivity.
The current production progress, as well as the production status and stock movements, are continuously transmitted from the ABF control system to the ERP system.
