WEMON

The WEMON environment system monitors effluent parameters and records these on a continuous basis. All parameters, such as temperature, pH value, electrical conductivity, discharge and throughput volumes can be configured as required.

WEMON monitors the emission limits specified in the plant licence and picks up problems at an early stage. Volume-based billing with the sewage system operator is also supported as an optional extra. WEMON comprises a data acquisition section and an evaluation section.
Data acquisition
Continuously operating measurement devices record analogue and digital signals. The data is evaluated on the basis of plausibility tests and short-term mean values are created (standard: 60 seconds).
The evaluation section consists of the following three key components:

  1. Interface (GUI) for display and parameter configuration
  2. Integration module for preparing data
  3. Reporting module for compiling daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports.

WEMON is a multi-user system based on an authorisation concept. The users who are permitted to view the progress lines for specific plants can be configured accordingly. Functions include parameter configuration for data acquisition and calculating values for the various time stages. Daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports are compiled on the basis of this data (formats supported: Microsoft Excel and pdf), and these can then be forwarded directly to the competent authorities.
Expansion options
The evaluation section can easily be extended to include special functions. These can be provided as a special service for specific customers. Possible services include billing, further data processing or interfaces with existing systems.
Expansion stages
A combined server with a database, data acquisition and evaluation functions can be provided on one physical piece of equipment for small plants. However, decentralised systems (on independent production sites) are also available and these also supply data to a shared central system.
